Vitamin D is so important to our bodies! I have recently read that pregnant mothers who take the recommended amount of vitamin D have children who have a 40% reduced risk of developing asthma from ages 3-5! This is thought to be due to the role that vitamin D plays on the immune system. A very reliable method of obtaining vitamin D is sun exposure!

With the changing world and environment I believe there really is a need to increase dosage on vitamin intake like in Vitamin D. Will keep watch on your post on how much increase it would have in the coming years.

That is indeed good news. Vitamin D is such an important issue, almost all people in the western world are lacking it. Personally, aside from sunbathing, I find the best source to be high quality cod liver oil. Like from Blue Ice or Premier Quantum. When I started taking it I almost immediately lost all my overweight (just a couple of weeks!), had no more sneezing and my gum abscess went away too. I love Vitamin D and depending on one's overall health status I would recommend up to 6000 IU.

I totally agree with your recommendations to suggest Vitamin D for your clients. There are so many health benefits to ensuring a person gets adequate amounts of this essential nutrient.

There is even some research showing that it may assist with weight loss. Here's a link to an article that explains the benefits in more detail: Vitamin D, Health and Weight Loss.
